Proposes requirements for water heaters which utilise a heat exchanger to supply hot water intended for mainly domestic use. It includes details of the design and construction of the heater, the electrical components required and the tests necessary to demonstrate compliance. This edition incorporates a heat loss test which is similar, in principle, to the test used in AS 1056.1 Storage water heaters and includes other changes to align it more closely with AS 1056.1.
