Proposes the dimensions and marking requirements for commercial hexagon bolts and screws with ISO metric coarse pitch series threads with diameters from 5 mm to 64 mm inclusive and the material requirements for steel bolts of property class 4.6. Requirements for products requiring special properties, such as weldability, corrosion-resistance or the ability to withstand temperatures above +300 degrees Celsius or below -50 degrees Celsius are not given. Appendices cover shank and head dimensions for bolts and screws with threads larger than M64, non-preferred sizes and the complete designation for the purpose of an enquiry or order. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.
