Proposes a method for determining the ability of a protective helmet to distribute the force of an impact. Includes a recommendation for the use of a strain gauge type force transducer, together with more details on the relative geometry of the load transfer pin and the hole into which it fits. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.
