Proposes installation and maintenance procedures for car alarm systems designed in accordance with Part 1 of the Standard with the view of reducing false alarms caused by incorrect installation and maintenance of such systems. This Standard differs significantly from the previous edition in that it provides more detail on installation procedures and maintenance requirements, and includes an appendix which outlines methods of testing to ensure that the system has been correctly installed. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.
