Proposes the adoption of ISO/IEC 8824-2:1995,which specifies a notation known as abstract syntax notation one (ASN.1) that allows information object classes as well as individual information objects and information object sets thereof to be defined and given reference names. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard. The complete text can be viewed at the Sydney and Melbourne Information Centres of Standards Australia or at Standards New Zealand. Arrangements can be made to view copies at other Standards Australia branches if required.
