Proposes requirements for the design, installation and operation of electric emergency evacuation lighting system for buildings. The objective is to provide visual conditions which will alleviate panic and permit safe evacuation of the building's occupants, should this be necessary, in the event of failure of the electrical supply to the normal lighting. Does not specify types of buildings nor particular locations which should be provided with emergency evacuation lighting. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.
