Proposes requirements for fabrics, trims and labelling of children's nightwear in sizes from 00 to 14 in four categories. Three of the categories are those of the current Australian Standard and the fourth category proposed is for infant's all-in-ones. In Australia, the proposal for the Standard to now include Size 00 increases the current coverage to children aged from 9 months to children aged around 6 months. This decision has been made to align the Standard with current New Zealand requirements which are based on the principle that children from 6 months of age can move around. This draft supersedes a previous draft for comment (DR 96197) issued in 1996. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.
