Proposes requirements for the design of smoke control systems in single compartments and interconnected volumes, where such items are required or are a desired feature of a design. It sets minimum system requirements considered necessary to meet the required performance objectives in terms of continuous operation over a specified time period under a range of selected fire conditions. The design information given in this Standard relates to axiosymmetric plume behaviour only. This Standard is not appropriate in situations where there is no buoyant hot layer.
