Proposes a hot smoke test methodology that sets out the means by which a specified quantity of smoke may be generated, at a safe temperature, within a building. The test may be applied to assess the performance of smoke management systems in buildings. The size of test fire is selected to generate the required quantity of smoke at a safe temperature. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.
