Proposes the adoption of IEC 61000-2-3:1992, which describes the electromagnetic environment intended as a basis to achieve electromagnetic compatibility in system and equipment design, using test standards and mitigation methods which satisfactorily take account of undesirable effects. The Standard is primarily concerned with characteristics and levels of electromagnetic fields and of non-network-frequency-related conducted emissions from unintentional sources of interference. The complete text can be viewed at the Sydney and Melbourne Information Centres of Standards Australia or at Standards New Zealand. Arrangements can be made to view copies at other Standards Australia branches if required. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.
