Proposes revised requirements for a quality management system, the application of which can be used by an organization to demonstrate its capability to meet customer requirements, and for assessment of the capability by internal and external parties. The Standard is intended to be generic, i.e. independent of any specific industry or economic sector and applicable to all types and sizes of organization. This Draft is identical with the first Committee Draft issued by ISO/TC 176, the International Organization for Standardization Technical Committee on Quality Management and Quality Assurance, and prepared by the Working Group (ISO/TC 176/SC 2/WG 18) under that Committee. When published, it will supersede the 1994 editions of ISO 9001, 9002 and 9003.
