Proposes guidelines for validation of microbiological test methods on quantitative tests. The protocol outlined in this document may be used to determine whether an alternative enumeration method will yield an equivalent result to an Australian Standard or to a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard food microbiology method (AS 1766/AS/NZS 1766 series Standards). Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.
