Proposes the adoption of ISO/IEC 13818-2:1996/Amd.2:1997, which specifies a profile that can provide higher video quality, better chroma resolution and higher bit rate than specified by AS/NZS 13818.2. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Supplement. Copies of ISO/IEC 13818-2:1996/Amd.2:1997 can be purchased from or viewed at the Sydney Information Centre of Standards Australia or at Standards New Zealand head office.
