Proposes a titrimetric method, using aluminium reduction and ammonium iron (III) sulfate titration, for the determination of the titanium content of ilmenite. The method is applicable to ilmenite concentrates containing in excess of 45 percent titanium but the presence of low concentrations of chromium, vanadium and niobium has no effect on the result.
