Proposes an introduction to the concepts and principles that can lead to a fundamental understanding of quality management systems and the ISO 9000 series of standards. It also provides a quality-related vocabulary. This draft is identical with the second committee Draft issued by ISO/TC 176, the International Organization of Standardization Technical Committee on Quality Management and Quality Assurance, and prepared by the Working group (ISO/TC 176/SC 1/WG 1) under that committee. All comments must be submitted by e-mail, using the correct template for each draft, due to the volume of comment anticipated. The templates and instructions can be downloaded from the Standards Australia Website at http://www.saiglobal.com/shop Electronic copies of the draft can be purchased via the Standards Australia website and will include the appropriate template(s) and instructions.
