Proposes the adoption of IEC 60947-5-5:1997, which provides detailed specifications relating to the electrical and mechanical construction of emergency stop devices with mechanical latching and to their testing. A copy of IEC 60947-5-5:1997 may be purchased from or viewed at any Standards Australia office or Standards New Zealand. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.
