Proposes the adoption of ISO 14021:1999 which sets out requirements for self-declared environmental claims, including statements, symbols and graphics, regarding products. It is applicable to both environmental claims appearing on the label of a product and to associated declarations, such as promotional material and advertising. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard. A copy of ISO 14021:1999 may be purchased from or may be viewed at any Standards Australia or Standards New Zealand office.
