This document contains the policy agreed by EA for accreditation of Conformity Assessment Bodies by National Accreditation Bodies as a basis for notification by Notifying Authorities to become Notified Bodies to work within the scope of Union Harmonisation Legislation1 and other related legislation that does not fully follow the New Legislative Framework in so far as this legislation provides for accreditation as sufficient means of demonstrating the technical competence of Notified Bodies.
