A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

This code provides a general guide to safe practice in the layout, design, construction and operation of petroleum refineries. This code is now 13 years old and some parts are now out-of-date and under review. The IP has published new codes covering parts of this code which can be purchased separately, ie Parts 15, 18 and 19 of the Model code of safe practice, and Guidance notes of refinery and distribution terminals work permit systems.
