Abstract - (Show below) - (Hide below)

Gives the minimum quality criteria regarding optical, visual and edge faults, and durability tests for mirrors from silvered float glass used internally in building. Covers silvered glass mirrors made from flat annealed tinted or clear float glass, of 2 mm to 6 mm thickness, and supplied in stock, standard and as-cut finished sizes. Does not cover silvered glass mirrors made from basic glass other than float glass, any processed glass, e.g. heat strengthened, thermally toughened safety, chemically strengthened and laminated glass or any bent glass. Silvered glass mirrors used in high humidity environments, for example swimming pools, saunas, etc are also not covered. Nor does it deal with fixing, framing and other support systems.
