This standard is applicable to torches and guns for WIG/WAG, MOG, TIG and plasma welding. This standard is not applicable to electrode holders for manual metal arc welding and to torches for plasma cutting or submerged arc welding. This standard is not applicable to unprotected torches used in automatic equipment, where protection against direct contact is provided by other means. This standard specifies safety and construction requirements.
