A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

It covers appiances with a rated voltage less than 250 V. For heaters for medical use, see EN 60601-2-35. For heaters for animals, see EN 60335-2-71. For water bed heaters, see EN 60335-2-66. For foot warmers and heating mats, see EN 60335-2-81.
