A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

It implements the approval schedule for safety tests in EN 60384 14, requires a declaration of design for parameters relevant to safety and prescribes conformance tests to be conducted on every lot prior to its release and requalification tests depending on changes to the declared design.
