Meant to help the users of the modular order regarding the application of modular order rules with examples of electronic equipment practices. Also includes information on interfaces to other technical fields, on technology and advanced design aspects. Will support the application and the introduction of the modular rules considering that: misinterpretations of the abstract modular rules are to be avoided; compatibility of interface dimensions is aimed at the electronic field on the basis of SI unit meter; national and international standardization committees should be authorized to define coordination dimensions for the benefit of technical advantages stated in IEC Publication 917 are achievable when using the rules.
