A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

This part of EN 61010 applies only to electrically powered laboratory equipment for the heating of materials, where the heating of materials is the only function or is one of several functions of the equipment. It has the status of a group safety publication in accordance with IEC Guide 104.
