Automatic and semi-automatic laboratory equipment consists of instruments or systems for measuring or modifying characteristics of samples, performing the process without manual intervention. Examples of such equipment are: analytical equipment, automatic sampler (e.g. pipettor), equipment for sample replication and amplification.
