This European Standard specifies requirements for the safety, strength and durability of bunk beds and high beds for domestic use. The loads and forces in the strength and durability tests apply to beds with a maximum bed base width of 120 cm.It is particularly intended to minimise the risk of accidents happening to children.If the bunk bed/high bed includes other products, for example a table or storage furniture, the safety requirements for these products are not covered by this standard.
