Specifies the procedures to be used for full peripheral eddy-current testing and seamless and welded steel tubes for verification of hydraulic leak tightness. Two different eddy-current testing methods, designated Method A and Method B, are specified, together with acceptance criteria reference standards and to establish the required level of test sensitivity. There is no restriction on tube diameter, with the exception that Method A is limited to a maximum tube diameter of 180 mm. It is intended that the Purchaser will specify in the relevant Product Specification which test method will be applied for tube diameters up to 180 mm.
