Details the performance required of single crystal, shear wave angle probes whose face size does not exceed either 70 mm in length or 50mm in width and whose crystal area exceeds 50 sq.mm, with nominal beam angle between 36 and 70 deg. and with nominal frequency between 2.0 and 2.5 MHz. Probes generating short pulses, are not covered. Does not cover probes whose shoes have been contoured for special applications, but such probes should meet this Standard prior to being contoured.
