A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

Provides information to be stored within the Directory which is common to a variety of applications, mainly a definition of the minimum capabilities that DSAs must have to support a basic common view of Directory information. It does this by specifying a backbone DIT structure which a conformant DSA must be capable of holding, and other minimum scheme requirements.
