This standard provides the minimum requirements for the pressure rating, marking and testing of pressure containing vessels for pipeline strainers. Excluded from this standard are "Y" type strainers and temporary strainers of the cone and plate type. Fluid Controls Institute Standard FC1 73-1 covers "Y" type strainers.
