The ADSI is a generic display oriented interface for bidirectional transmission of data between a Stored Program Controlled System (SPCS). e.g., a switching system or host computer server, & Analog Display Services customer premises equipment (CPE). The ASDI should allow many new & advanced interactive services to be offered before ISDN is widely deployed. The Family of Requirements (FR) contains ADSI documentation that should be relevant for switching system & CPE suppliers, as well as Information Service Providers & host based telecommunications software suppliers. Bellcore believes that the ability to purchase all the documentation at once through this FR may hasten the mass market penetration of the ADSI, reducing the cost of the ASDI equipment to all.
