Defines BISDN Inter Carrier interface (B-ICI) as an Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM)-based multiservice interface that connects public ATM/Broadband Switching Systems (BSS) belonging to two different carriers. It provides generic requirements for multi-service B-ICI. In addition, a B-ICI also connects public ATM/BSSs within the same carrier network.
