Outlines Telcordia's view of proposed generic criteria and the characteristics that are for portable Wavelength Division Multiplexer Analyzers (WDMA) for use in testing a wavelength division multiplexed system. Provides information for use by suppliers in the determination of the generic features that, in Telcordia's view, are necessary to give satisfactory service as a WDM analyzer. WDMA also contains information to aid WDMA users to select test equipment that meets their WDMA needs. The document also contains generic operation, mechanical and performance criteria, and a general description of performance tests.
