Describes generic requirements are planned to update and expand selected data table and requirements. The document contains the following: 1. Switch data table and requirements - New surveys and participant interests will help focus the update and expansion of selected data tables for switch capacity. The new tables are planned to distinguish call rates and holding times for residential and business subscribers. 2. New traffic measurements - Vendors, service providers and standards groups have promoted or supported several complementary or competing signaling protocols for voice and data access to ATM and IP edge switches. These measurements are necessary to avoid under-sizing the access switches and trunk group to the IP or ATM core networks.
