GR 561 CORE : ISSUE 1
Current
The latest, up-to-date edition.
Defines the generic requirements for the two-party line feature. The two-party line feature gives basic telephone service to two customers sharing the same line. The feature requires that the system has the capability to distinguish between each party upon origination and termination and to provide a means for each party to call the other party. Features assigned to each party of the two-party line may vary, i.e., party one may have Dual-Tone Multifrequency (DTMF) service, and party two may have rotary dial.
