Defines the generic requirements for the AFR feature. The interfiled revision updates the AFR text that relates to Automatic Message Accounting (AMA) requirements. It also updates the Reference list. Automatic Flexible Routing (AFR) provides dialing and routing features, either for a standalone business switching service customer, or within the framework of the Electronic Tandem Switching (ETS) service. The dialing plan provides codes for stations on the customer network (if one exists) and for reaching non-network stations, while the routing plan provides efficient access to on-network and non-network stations via private and public facility groups.
