Identical to the ISO/IEC guides and provides information on product and third-party certification systems. Guidance is given on the establishment, general requirements for, and operation of calibration and testing laboratory accreditation substances. Identical with SANZ HB18.22-1991 and produced as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.

This document sets forth the recommended procedures when the manufacturer offers or is requested to declare under his sole responsibility to the purchaser that a product is in conformity with specific standards or other technical specifications.Where used, a manufacturer's declaration should be based on the entire contents of a standard.This document is directed primarily towards conformity with International Standards (ISO or IEC), but it may also be used for declaring conformity with national standards or other technical specifications.NOTE - In the following text, whenever the term "standard" is used, it is meant to cover "standard or other technical specification". Whenever the expression "manufacturer's declaration" is used, it is meant to cover "manufacturer's declaration of conformity".
