Applies to drain and sewer systems operating essentially under gravity, from the point where the sewage leaves a building or roof drainage system or enters a road gully to its being discharged into a treatment works or receiving water. Includes drains and sewers below buildings, if they are not part of the drainage system of the building. Defines principles and methods for planning and designing rehabilitation works needed in order to achieve prescribed performance levels for existing drain and sewer systems.
