Defines test methods, performance requirements and specifying materials for table cutlery; carving sets, spoon, knives, forks, ladles, other serving pieces and childrens cutlery. Applies to silver-plated stainless steel, stainless steel, and silver-plated nickel silver. It is not applicable to cutlery made of precious metals, non-stainless steel, aluminium, gold-plated, chromium-plated, or of nickel silver. There are three minimum thicknesses of silver which are specified for silver-plated cutlery.
