1 Introduction
  1.1 General
  1.2 Scope
  1.3 General requirements
2 Neutron fluence rate (flux) measurement
2.4 Instrumentation for neutron fluence rate
      (flux) measurement
3 Temperature measurement
  3.3 Measurement of fuel temperature
  3.5 Measurement of coolant temperature
4 Coolant measurements
  4.2 Coolant flow
  4.3 Coolant pressure
4.8 High pressure steam leakage into the primary
      coolant
5 Protection system
  5.1 Definitions
  5.4 Functions within protection system
9 Reactor control
  9.2 Control rod movement
9.3 Indication of control rod position and movement
9.4 Fluence rate (flux) pattern control

Deals more particularly with the measuring equipment for fluence rate of neutrons, fuel temperature, coolant temperature and flow, and with the protection system. The IEC 60231 series of standards is no longer up-to-date and will not be revised by IEC. The standards are maintained for the time being for bibliographical purposes and because they were used in the past for the design of nuclear power plants which are still in operation.
