    Applies to mercury-arc convertors employing single anode or multi-anode valves with sustained cathode spot, single anode valves without sustained cathode spot, valves provided with grid or ignitor control, and to convertors using semi-conductor diodes. IEC 411 and 411-1 will be combined in a single booklet in the future and issued as the second edition of IEC 411-1.
