Applicable to all types of solid organic and inorganic cylindrical scintillators used in scintillation counting and spectrometry. Standard dimensions are given in order to facilitate interchangeability of unencapsulated scintillators and to facilitate intercomparisons of measurements made with encapsulated scintillators.
