    Specifies the general requirements for detectors for use inintruder alarm systems installed in buildings. Gives the minimumrequirements for the performance, installation and testing ofdetectors. Ensures compatibility with other parts of intruder alarmsystems, with the aim of providing satisfactory performance in thedetection of intruders whilst minimizing false operation due toenvironmental effects.
