FUTUREBUS+ VME64 BRIDGE
23-07-2013
12-01-2013
Defines the logical protocol layer for bridging between a Futurebus+ systems and a VME64 systems in a tightly coupled fashion. Transferring of both data and events are specified. The physical layer is not defined in this standard. Implementers are free to define and use the Bridge in the manner that best fits the application for optimum performance, functionality and cost tradeoffs. The Bridge provides for software transparency such that at the application level, software is not aware of accesses that reach across a Bridge into another bus's modules.
