DETERMINATION OF INORGANIC CONSTITUENTS OF ASHES - SPECTROGRAPHIC METHOD
12-01-2013
23-07-2013
This method is intended for the determination of the inorganic content of used and unused oils, sludges, engine deposits, etc., and is most suitable for minor constituents down to 0.01% of the ash. Copper is used as electrode material and ferric sulphate as a flux and an internal standard; consequently these metals cannot be determined by this technique. The method is also unsuitable for the determination of the alkali metals and non-metals.
