This method covers the volumetric determination of the lead content of gasoline and other volatile distillates blended with lead alkyls (tetraethyl lead or tetramethyl lead, trimethylethyl lead, dimethyldiethyl lead, methyltriethyl lead, or mixtures thereof) within the concentration range of 0.04 to 1.1 g of lead per litre. This method has been cooperatively tested only with fuels containing tetraethyl lead in the concentration range of 0.053 to 1.1 g of lead per litre.
