This standard prescribes two methods for determination of linear density of yarn spun on cotton system in cotton count and tex: a) Method A - Evaluation of linear density by determining the mass of the conditioned yarn at equilibrium with the standard atmosphere for testing; and b) Method B - Evaluation of linear density by determining the mass of the oven-dry yarn plus the commercial moisture regain.
