This standard specifies general and performance requirements for geotextiles made from polyolefins, polyesters or polyamides material used in: a) subsurface drainage, subgrade separation, subgrade stabilization, erosion control applications (in hard armor systems); and b) separation/filtration application in railway formation on top of subgrade or prepared subgrade before laying blanket or anywhere within the embankment or used below the ballast and above the blanket layer.
