This standard provides recommendations on technical specifications for the instrumentation of dams when required, for near real-time monitoring of dams and the associated built structures that are part of existing dam projects towards realistic earthquake response estimation of structures, earthquake hazard monitoring and defining earthquake design criteria for structures to be built in future in that region.
